Long Nen, Sarawak, Borneo Posted on april 26, 2009 by Joakim The rest of the jungle experience we stayed with the penan tribe. We stayed in Matias Ngau and his family’s house in the penan village. This is Matias and his wife Mori and daughter Rinni. The penans are christians. This is their church. Matias and Wan. This is the bathroom of the penan village. All the penan women gather to make dinner. Usually they sit on the floor. The last night there the penans threw us a party and everyone had to dance. Even the norwegians. Everybody laughed at us. Later on Matias played on the Sapé. On the left, two of the nomadic-penans, Juaio and Oloi. To the right, the head doctor, as he called himself. Children of the penans. us with the nomadic penans. Juaio, nomadic penan. Oloi, nomadic penan. Ayat Lirong and I. Ayats brother, Dutun. Leftovers. Us with the penan villagers.
